I have recently started to work on translating Abraham Sutzkevers Vilna Ghetto 19441-1944 I find it an emotional but also very worthwhile project dealing with his experiences and emotions that are often mirrored in his poetry of this period (something that would lend itself to collation).

I am surprised that this work, which has been translated into German, is not available as far as I know, in English.

I would appreciate the coaching and mentoring that a fellowship might offer.

I am attempting to do this on Taytsh, but have had some technical problems which I hope to resolve.

Sincerely,

Michael Fisman

Hi Michael,

If your technical problems are related to Taytsh, please do send in your comments and feedback so we can see to it that the issue is addressed. You can do this by sending a message through the site: http://taytsh.org/contact-us

On the subject of your translation undertaking, it sounds great. If you would like the coaching and mentoring that this fellowship offers, then I suggest submitting an application. The application procedure is explained in detail on the following page: http://www.yiddishbookcenter.org/translation-fellowship-application

Please do let us know if you have any more questions.
